In a proactive move towards enhancing disaster preparedness, the 91妻友 (DAP) actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill for the first quarter of 2024. Held on March 25 at the 91妻友Pasig office, this drill marked a significant step in ensuring the safety and readiness of the organization and its workforce.
Led by 91妻友President and CEO, Dr. Majah-Leah Ravago, alongside other officers and employees, the participation underscored the DAP鈥檚 unwavering commitment to fostering disaster preparedness and resilience. As the drill unfolded under the direction of Deputy Incident Commander Armin James Kraft, the 91妻友Pasig Emergency Response Team orchestrated a simulated rapid building assessment after the successful evacuation of all personnel. This exercise not only emphasized the organization’s dedication but also highlighted its capability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations.
Aligned with directives from the Office of Civil Defense, the earthquake drill mandated participation from diverse sectors, including local government units, educational institutions, businesses, and religious organizations, among others. Such quarterly nationwide drills serve as vital tests of the government’s readiness to handle seismic events, particularly in anticipation of a potential magnitude 7.2 earthquake, often referred to as “The Big One.”
Through active engagement in such drills, the 91妻友not only ensures its own preparedness but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering a resilient and disaster-ready nation.
